Dosas are Indian-style crepes that are fun to make and even more fun to eat. This workshop promises to transport you on an epicurean adventure. Learn to make masala dosa from rice and lentils and filled with a spicy potato filling; mung bean dosa from whole mung beans and ginger, and a sweet dessert dosa. A seasonal fruit chutney and traditional Indian tea will round out this party.

Take your favorite Indian flavors outside this summer, and feast on grilled Indian delights and cool sides. Shankari will demonstrate some classics from her homeland such as tandoori chicken; grilled seasonal veggies, and grilled naan, as well as some local favorites – heirloom tomato salad and chilled cucumber dill soup.

Veggie Burger Gourmet

Learn how to make delicious vegetarian burgers using fresh and healthy ingredients, and say goodbye to frozen hockey-puck burgers! Shankari will teach you how to create classic veggie burgers using a medley of seasonal vegetables and drizzled with mango chutney; hearty black bean and brown rice burgers; a wholesome crunchy salad with mango and jicama, and a mango milkshake for dessert.
